NAHS Boys Tennis Virtual Workouts

Hi Team and those interested in NAHS Boy's Tennis. Courts are still closed and I'm still social distancing and I hope you are too. 

To keep strong and explosive I've been doing sets of pushups, sit ups and squats. I do sets of 20 until I get to 100 repetitions of each. However, you should perform sets and repetitions that work for you and your body. Try placing your hands in different places during pushups to work different muscles in your chest, shoulders and back. Check on your form by recording yourself.

Hi Team and people interested in NAHS Boy's Tennis! Well, this has certainly been a strange season. Even though it seems like tennis is something that can be played with relatively little contact with each other most courts and parks are closed. Here are some of my initial suggestions:

1. Watch youtube instructional videos. It may be helpful to use the word "beginner" in your searches. Here is an example: "how to hit a forehand beginner"

2. Find a wall or garage door to hit a ball against. Any time you spend with racquet on ball is time well spent. 

3. Watch old tennis matches on youtube or other platforms. This helps to keep you motivated and it is amazing how much you can learn from watching.
