Solid effort in Eagles season opener; tough result

The Eagles started off their 2017 campaign at Spring-ford on Friday afternoon. In the 9th minute the Eagles scored what looked like a good goal and needless to say with a 1-0 lead the outcome of this contest could've been quite different. The goal however not allowed to the most bizarre of calls. Just moments later the rams got a gift corner kick and instead of calling the same foul as on our disallowed goal the official spoke with the players about contact in the penanlty area and then corner kick and goal ensued. Tough luck for the Eagles. With a 1-0 lead at half the rams netted two more in the second half for victory. All in all a much improved effort for the Eagles. They look to even their record on Tuesday at Ridley.
